Two classic examples of companies that harnessed digital transformation are ride-sharing giant Uber, and online hospitality service Airbnb. At their core, both of these businesses were built around technological services, that allowed them to tap into the saturated markets of vacation rental and transportation, in a completely new fashion. We’re not suggesting that taking what made these companies successful and applying it to your own is a great idea, but instead, understand that building technology into the foundation of your business’ strategy is key to staying ahead of the competition.
